In addition to preloaded marine specific feature sets, the quatix 6 also includes a host of built-in activity profiles for land and water sports such as running, hiking, biking, swimming, rowing, and paddle boarding.
The built-in FUSION-Link Lite app controls connected StereoActive products as well as other ANT-enabled stereo models such as the RA70 with BT100. Connected features when paired to a compatible smartphone include smart notifications, automatic uploads to Garmin Connect online fitness community and personalisation through free watch faces and apps from our Connect IQ store. Building on Garmin''s fenix 5 platform, the quatix 6 multisport marine smartwatch provides comprehensive boat connectivity. It connects with compatible Garmin chartplotters and other devices to stream data to the quatix 6 watch, including speed, depth, temperature and wind. Compact with quick-change bands, it also sports advanced fitness features and a wrist-based heart rate monitor. With built-in activity profiles and performance metrics for paddle boarding, swimming and canoeing.
Advanced autopilot control and remote waypoint marking features allows the user to maintain control of the vessel, even if the wearer is not the one at the helm. With the quatix 6 watch, the wearer can actually access a GHC 20 autopilot control unit to control the autopilot - change heading, turn and steer the boat. It also provides remote waypoint marking, which allows the wearer to add a waypoint from quatix 6 and have it sync automatically with any connected Garmin chartplotter.
The quatix 6 includes the handy Garmin SailAssist which allows the wearer to view a virtual starting with 2 waypoints creating the starting line of a sailing race. With distance to start line it will show how far the yacht is from the line based on the distance to the virtual starting line. It also has a race countdown timer to count down the time to the start of the race and time to burn if the virtual starting line is present. The in-built tack assist determines whether the boat is being headed or lifted and then easily calibrate the boat''s port/starboard tack angles with the touch of a button.
The quatix 6 Titanium has the ability to track stroke rates, distance per stroke and total distance traveled, ideal for activities such as paddle boarding or canoeing. Plus, the built in GPS provides boat speed at a glance for high sped sports such as water skiing.
The Garmin quatix 6 Titanium watch is equipped with high-sensitivity GPS navigation and tracking functions plus ABC (altimeter, barometer and compass) sensor capabilities. The built-in altimeter provides elevation data to accurately monitor ascent and descent, while the barometer can be used to predict weather changes by showing short-term trends in air pressure. The 3-axis electronic compass keeps the wearers bearing, whether moving or not. In addition, there''s an internal gyroscope to help improve position accuracy (and battery life) in UltraTrac mode.
Onboard entertainment systems can be controlled with quatix 6 by using the built-in FUSION-Link Lite app to control connected StereoActive products as well as other ANT-enabled stereo models (RA70/BB100).
The built in Elevate wrist heart rate technology monitors the wearers heart rate without wearing a chest strap. In addition to counting steps and monitoring sleep, the watch uses heart rate to provide calories burned information and quantify the intensity of fitness activities being undertaken.
When paired with a compatible smartphone the quatix 6 will receive emails, texts and alerts right onto the watch, whether on the water, hiking or on the golf course. Other connected features include automatic uploads to the Garmin Connect online fitness community, live tracking and social media sharing through the free Garmin Connect and Garmin Connect Mobile applications.
Sleek and stylish by design, the quatix 6 is equipped with Garmin''s exclusive QuickFit band system which allows the band to be quickly and easily changed without the need for tools. It also features preloaded marine-styled watch faces that can be changed and is compatible with Connect IQ to provide access to more free watch faces and activity apps downloads.
